The accident happened at 1pm at Barren Grounds about five kilometres south of the Illawarra Fly.
The accident involved two motorcyclists colliding with a car.
Ambulance crews arrived on scene and found a 44-year-old male cyclist with a fractured femur - the other motorbike rider was unhurt.
The rescue helicopter was called to transport the patient and the road was closed for about an hour as the chopper landed at the intersection of Jamberoo Mountain Road and Knights Hill Road.
The 44-year old male was transported to St George Hospital in a stable condition.
