The final round of South Coast cricket for 2016 joined the Illawarra competition on the scrap heap after grounds were deemed unplayable by officials over the weekend.

Grounds underwent an inspection on Saturday morning before the decision was made to call off the entire round.
Illawarra Cricket officials came to the same decision twenty four hours earlier.
South Coast cricket will now go on a Christmas break until January 7.
Kookas are leading the overall ladder heading into the New Year. They are level with The Rail on the One Day ladder with five wins and one defeat and have a pair of draws in the Twenty20.
The Rail are second on the overall ladder while Lake Illawarra and Oak Flats round out the top-four spots.
Gerringong are just outside the finals positions while Kiama and Shellharbour have work to do in the New Year if they want to play post-season cricket.
There are six rounds of cricket to be played after the Christmas break before finals begin.
In Illawarra cricket there will be a longer break as the Australian Country Championships take centrestage throughout early January.
The first matches will be played on January 14 when the Twenty20 competition continues.
University and Helensburgh are the only two undefeated sides in the short format after winning both of their opening two matches.
Northern Districts (pool a) and Balgownie (pool b) both have a win, a loss and a draw to keep themselves in the finals frame. Dapto lead the two-day ladder.
