Nowra set to get $3.5 million Taco Bell, Carl's Jr burger franchise and a 7-Eleven

The application approved for the former Nowra IGA site on the corner of the Princes Highway, Haigh Avenue and Worrigee Street, Nowra and will also include a Mobile Service Station.

Ben Isaac, of Isaac Property Developments, whose company has developed the highway service centre at Bomaderry (including the recently approved Hungry Jacks outlet) and the nearby BP Service Station, McDonalds and Autobarn Complex, has announced the approval on social media.

Cost of the proposed development is $3.487 million.

The development will combine with the existing Petbarn operations which is also on the western side of the site.

The proposal includes partial demolition of the existing IGA and Delicious Noodles building but retains the Petbarn building and will see the construction and use of a service station with integrated food and drink premises as well as an additional freestanding food and drink premises.

The Taco Bell premises will be 246 square metres,while the 7-Eleven and Carl's Jr burger will both be 200 square metres.

It is envisaged all three businesses will operate 24/7.

A total of 55 car parking spaces (including three accessible spaces) and three loading bays will also be established.

Established in 1962, Taco Bell is an American food franchise, specialising in Mexican burritos, tacos and nachos.

The opening of a Taco Bell at Albion Park attracted huge crowds.

Another American franchise, Carl's Jr was established in 1956. It has a large presence in Queensland and Victoria and appears to be expanding in NSW.
